Best of all, our snowboarding and ski clothing is affordable - meaning you will have plenty of cash left over for a drink or two during apres-ski events!
Why not take a look today and prepare to leave others in your wake when it comes to snow sport style!
Ski clothing - when fashion meets function
One of the first items you should look for before hitting the slopes are base layers. These are important as they insulate your body from cool temperatures and help keep you dry, no matter how many times you end up on your behind!
They need to be tight fitting to keep heat in and sweat at bay, but lightweight at the same time to provide you with the flexibility required when zipping down hillsides and jumping with your board.
Synthetic materials like microfiber-based fabrics are great at not absorbing moisture and some even contain special agents to reduce odours. Of course, there is also wool, but make sure it is one that does not itch! And while cotton is cheap, it does take that little bit longer to dry, but if you don't plan to exert yourself too much it is an affordable choice.
The next item on your shopping list will be ski jackets and pants. This is where you can truly have fun and be as loud and stylish as you want to be.
It could be a case of the brighter the better - not just to stand out from the crowd, but the snow also. If you are new to skiing or snowboarding, or plan to tackle some high-risk manoeuvres, it is wise to make sure you can be easily spotted.
You should snap up skiwear that is lightweight, as you need to be able to seamlessly move into different positions and get up off the ground without the embarrassment of asking for help!
At the same time it has to keep you warm and protect you from the wind. Polyester linings are great for deflecting sweat to avoid it evaporating and drawing away your body heat, while waterproof finishes can stop you getting soggy.
Keep in mind where you are jetting off to on holiday - the slopes of France will not experience harsh weather like that in Canada, for example.
January temperatures in Mont Treblant in Canada can plummet to -10 degrees C. Compare this to Chamonix in France's -2 degrees C and you will understand the importance of buying the right gear.
If you are away with children, we also have a large range of kids' skiwear. We feel that youngsters are sometimes not properly catered for fashion-wise, which is why our bright, funky and fun collection will be right up their street!
